"It was fun": Pavlović gives mixed reaction to Bayern's DFB-Pokal elimination

Bayern Munich’s disappointing run in the DFB-Pokal continued this season, as the club failed to advance past the quarterfinals for the fifth consecutive year. Despite the setback, defender Aleksandar Pavlović, who plays under Vincent Kompany, managed to find some optimism in the narrow defeat to Bayer Leverkusen.

Details: Pavlović, who came off the bench during the match, admitted that while the game was enjoyable, the evening was ultimately frustrating as the team had been determined to progress. He highlighted the character the squad showed after playing almost the entire match with 10 men.

Quote: "When I came on, it was really fun. But it’s a very disappointing night because we really wanted to go through. We played very well with ten men and showed great character," Pavlović told Bayern’s press service.

Reminder: Bayern were reduced to 10 men early in the game after Manuel Neuer was sent off in the 17th minute. The match ended with a narrow 1-0 victory for Bayer Leverkusen.
