Barcelona's star winger Lamine Yamal explained his emotions after being subbed off early during the La Liga match against Alavés (3-0).
Details: Yamal didn’t have his best game against Alavés and was substituted in the 67th minute by Ansu Fati. The young prodigy didn’t appear pleased with the decision, visibly showing his frustration.
Quote: "I wasn’t happy with my performance against Alavés... I could’ve played better. I have high expectations for myself.
The anger was more about how I played, not about the substitution. I was mad at myself. I told [coach] Flick that my frustration was directed at my own performance," Yamal told RNE.
Reminder: La Liga named Yamal the Player of the Month for September.
