It was a bad season' Mamelodi Sundowns star makes a surprising statement

Opinions about Mamelodi Sundowns' recent season have been mixed, with some praising the team's season as a whole and what they managed to achieve, while others did not hold the same opinion and criticized the team's season “positively”.

One of those who criticized the Tshwane giants' season was defender Terrence Mashego, who believes the team's season could have been better.

Despite winning the Betway Premiership this season, the team also lost two finals - the Champions League final and the Carling Knockout Cup final to Magesi FC by a score of 2-1.

bad season, winning the league only is not enough. For a status of Sundowns, I would say it was a bad season because we always want to win everything, So, for us to win the league only, it was a bad season. I don’t want to lie.

Terrence Mashego said to Prime Time Sports with Victor Molefe on UKhozi FM.

Now, we’re going to the FIFA Club World Cup, a big tournament. It’s a dream for any South African footballer or any footballer to play in the Club World Cup. It’s a big competition for everyone and we need to be ready for it. But this season was a bad one for us because the league only is not enough.

Terrence Mashego concluded.
