SuperSport United striker Bradley Grobler has opened up about his feelings following the departure of former head coach Gavin Hunt.

Details: The portal iDiskiTimes published a short interview on its website with the 37-year-old SuperSport United forward, where he shared his emotions and the team's mood at the time of Gavin Hunt's resignation.

"Yes, it really came as a shock. I think many of us did not expect it, but it was out of our hands, and as professionals, we just have to deal with it somehow. I mean, I've probably been through this twenty times in my career — when you change coaches. It's part of our job.

No matter how disappointed some players might be or anything like that, the team coped. Everyone understands they have a job to do. I come back again to the topic of performances and results — it's not easy. I think we were very good. It was one of those seasons where we just needed to push through, finish things the right way, and secure our place in the league for next year.

And I believe next year can be a really good one for the team," Grobler told iDiski Times in the interview.

Gavin Hunt took charge of the team in 2022 and left the club in March this year. During his tenure, he managed 97 matches and secured a third-place finish in the South African Premier Division in the 2022/23 season.

The 60-year-old coach finished last season with the team in seventh place, keeping them clear of the relegation zone. At that point, SuperSport United had won just five matches. Ultimately, the team finished 14th, retaining their place in the Premier League.
