Manchester United has not yet extended a new contract offer to their center-back, Raphaël Varane, as reported by Fabrizio Romano.

It has come to light that the "Red Devils" have not dispatched any new proposals to the French footballer regarding a fresh agreement. Romano further adds that no negotiations are currently underway. It is worth noting that the current contract is set to expire at the end of this season, in three months' time.

On July 27, 2021, it was announced that Manchester United and Real Madrid had reached a preliminary agreement regarding Varane's transfer. The transfer fee amounted to £34 million and could rise to £42 million with bonuses. The transition was completed on August 14, 2021.

Incidentally, Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen expressed to head coach Erik ten Hag that he is dissatisfied with the amount of playing time on the field. In a personal conversation, the footballer conveyed to the coach that he is unhappy at the club.

Earlier, we reported on how the new Manchester United owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, reacted to rumors of Kylian Mbappé's move to Manchester United.
