Daniele De Rossi replaced José Mourinho as Roma head coach in January 2024, signing a contract with his former club until the end of the season. And it seems the sides will extend their co-operation.

According to Calciomercato, Roma owners are impressed with De Rossi's performance as head coach over the past six weeks and are ready to offer the specialist a two-year contract with a salary increase.

De Rossi will receive around half a million euros for his contract until the end of the season.

However, no concrete steps have been made yet, but that could change in the coming weeks given De Rossi's relationship with the club bosses.

The coach has suffered only one defeat at the helm of Roma, a 2-4 loss to Inter on 10 February. In the other eight matches, De Rossi has seven wins and one draw.
