Against the backdrop of Olivier Giroud's uncertain future, Milan are thinking about acquiring a new striker, and it is known how much money Stefano Pioli can count on.

According to journalist Peppe di Stefano, the budget for the purchase of a forward for the "rossoneri" in the summer will be approximately 40 million euros.

Milan intend to throw their main energies into bringing in Bologna striker Josua Zirksee and, according to Di Stefano, the €40 million sum is a good one to invest in:

"They need to invest, and invest in a striker like Zirksee, a player that Milan might try to buy for a sum close to €40m, I think it could be possible."

It was previously reported that Giroud's contract with Milan is valid until the summer of 2024 and the labour agreement will not be extended. The 2018 World Cup champion has received offers from MLS clubs and Saudi Arabia.
