It has emerged who the leading candidate is for the Manchester United manager’s job
Manchester United changed managers during the course of this season, and the team has been performing quite well since then, but the possibility of appointing a different head coach remains on the table.
Details: According to The Telegraph, Manchester United’s hierarchy view Andoni Iraola as the main rival to Michael Carrick in the race to become the club’s next permanent manager.
United are keen to avoid repeating the Ole Gunnar Solskjær scenario and reportedly hold Iraola’s work at Bournemouth in high regard. However, qualification for the Champions League would significantly strengthen Carrick’s position.
Meanwhile, according to official confirmation from Manchester United, Kobbie Mainoo has signed a new contract with the club. The agreement runs until the summer of 2031.
Reminder: Twenty-five-year-old holding midfielder Manuel Ugarte has been offered to Juventus as a potential short-term reinforcement for the squad.
