It finally happened! Antony scores his first league goal since April 2024
Manchester United winger Antony has been the subject of ridicule from fans in recent times. In an effort to regain his form, he moved on loan to Spanish side Real Betis, and it seems he is starting to find his rhythm.
Details: The Brazilian winger started in Betis' La Liga match against Celta Vigo on matchday 23 and needed just ten minutes to find the back of the net. Receiving the ball inside the box, Antony controlled it under pressure before slotting a precise shot into the far corner.
Reminder: The last time Antony scored in a league match was back on April 27, 2024, in a Premier League fixture against Burnley on matchday 35. That game at Old Trafford ended in a 1-1 draw. Antony joined Betis on loan, with the Spanish club not having a purchase option in the deal.
