It became known how much Borussia Dortmund are ready to pay for the buyout of Sancho
Borussia Dortmund remains hopeful of retaining English winger Jadon Sancho for a longer period.
According to Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg, the yellow and black club is now considering not only extending Sancho's loan but also purchasing his contract outright, which still belongs to Manchester United. However, Borussia Dortmund will be able to pay no more than 35 million euros.
Earlier, the club's sporting director Sebastian Kehl stated that buying out Sancho's contract was practically impossible due to financial reasons.
It's worth noting that Borussia Dortmund loaned Sancho until the end of the season during the winter transfer window. He previously played for the club from 2017 to 2021 before moving to Manchester United for 85 million euros.
In 8 Bundesliga matches this season, Sancho has scored 1 goal and provided 2 assists. Last Wednesday, he opened the scoring with a long-range shot in the Champions League Round of 16 match against PSV Eindhoven (2-0).
