Is the Conflict Still Ongoing? Lookman Ignored Question About Gasperini
Ademola Lookman refused to comment on whether the conflict with Atalanta's coach Gian Piero Gasperini had been left behind. It seems that the situation between them remains tense, despite Atalanta winning 5-0 against Empoli, with the Nigerian forward starting the match and scoring two goals.
Lookman, when talking about the game, said that the team played well and demonstrated a high level of performance, also emphasizing that they continue to work and prepare for the next match.
When asked about the dispute with Gasperini, the player simply shrugged and asked the reporter, "Is it over?" After being substituted, he shook hands with assistant coach Tullio Gritti, but not Gasperini.
Now, Atalanta is three points behind Inter, the new leaders, and continues to fight for the Serie A title. The 27-year-old forward has scored 12 goals and provided 5 assists in 21 Serie A matches.
