Ipswich Town Confirm Permanent Signing of Chuba Akpom After Premier League Promotion

Ipswich Town have officially secured the permanent signing of Chuba Akpom following their successful return to the Premier League.

Akpom initially arrived at Portman Road on loan from Ajax during the summer of 2025. The experienced forward played a supporting role as Ipswich pushed through a competitive Championship campaign to seal promotion back to England’s top flight.

The 30-year-old striker has now committed his future to the club by signing a three-year deal, keeping him at Ipswich Town until June 2029. During his loan spell, Akpom made 30 appearances in the Championship and found the net twice.
