Ipswich players hold darts tournament after first Premier League home win in 22 years
As the PDC World Darts Championship nears its conclusion, Ipswich Town players celebrated their emphatic victory over Chelsea at the end of the year with a friendly darts competition among themselves.
Details: Following training, Kieran McKenna’s squad organized a mini-tournament that featured almost all the players, including midfielder Kalvin Phillips. However, the winner wasn’t Phillips but fellow Manchester City loanee, forward Liam Delap.
Reminder: The 2-0 victory over Chelsea marked Ipswich’s first home win of the season and their first at Portman Road in the Premier League since April 2002, when they beat Middlesbrough 1-0.
It was Delap and Omari Hutchinson who scored in the match, securing Ipswich’s third win of the campaign. The Premier League newcomers now have 15 points and are just one point away from climbing out of the relegation zone.
