Chelsea is on the hunt for a replacement for the departed Cucurella.

Details: According to Diario AS, after Chelsea's key player Marc Cucurella made his move to Real Madrid, the London club has seriously started searching for a successor to the 27-year-old Spaniard.

The source reports that the "Blues" have set their sights on 23-year-old Real Madrid left-back Álvaro Carreras, who has failed to live up to the club’s expectations and found himself increasingly benched towards the end of the season.

At this point, it’s unclear whether Real Madrid is willing to let Carreras go, but Chelsea are ready to open negotiations after the World Cup.

Marc Cucurella joined Real Madrid last week for €55 million.

As for Carreras, this season he has played 40 matches for Los Blancos, scoring 2 goals and providing 3 assists. His transfer value is estimated by Transfermarkt at €50 million.
