Inter Milan's defence is quite old, considering Francesco Acerbi's 36 years of age and Stefan de Vrij's incomplete 32 years, which would sooner or later prompt a rejuvenation of the squad at the Giuseppe Meazza. This is what the club bosses are planning to do in the summer transfer window, and it is already known who the Nerazzurri have in mind.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Inter are planning to replace the ageing Italian with 25-year-old Bologna defender Sam Beukema. One of the leaders of Thiago Motta's sensational team, the Nerazzurri have been following him for a long time and have decided to include him in their wish list.

It is noteworthy that Beukema quickly enough joined Italian football, as he only last summer left his homeland, where his last club was AZ. Bologna paid nine million euros for that transfer, and now his price has at least doubled.
