Inter secures its 12th consecutive victory, edging closer to the championship title

In the final match of Serie A's 27th round, held on Monday, March 4th, Inter hosted Genoa at their home ground.

The hosts dominated possession and created more scoring opportunities near Genoa's goal. As the first half drew to a close, they managed to convert their superiority into goals. In the 30th minute, Christian Eriksen opened the scoring for Inter, putting them in the lead. Eight minutes later, Alexis Sanchez converted a penalty to double the host's advantage.

After the break, Genoa managed to pull one goal back, as Vásquez found his moment in the 54th minute and capitalized on it. However, the visitors couldn't muster anything more.

Inter secures their 12th consecutive victory across all competitions. With 72 points accumulated after 27 rounds, they are inching closer to the title.
