Inter is actively engaged in extending the contracts of two key players: forward Lautaro Martinez and defender Matteo Darmian.
According to reports from Nicolo Schira, Lautaro Martinez is on the verge of extending his current contract, which is set to expire in the summer of 2026. The new agreement, reportedly in its final stages, is expected to prolong the collaboration between the player and the club by an additional two years.
Additionally, as per information from Fabrizio Romano, the Milanese club is planning to extend Matteo Darmian's contract. His current deal runs until the end of the ongoing season, with Inter intending to extend it for another year. This extension appears highly likely, given the mutual interest of both player and club. It's merely a matter of time.
In the current season, Martinez has featured in 23 matches for Inter, scoring seventeen goals and providing four assists. He presently holds the captain's armband for the team. Meanwhile, Darmian has appeared in 22 matches this season, contributing with one assist to his credit.
Inter currently leads the Serie A standings with a four-point lead over their closest rival, Juventus.
