In another MLS round, Inter Miami defeated Charlotte at home in a tense match.
Lionel Messi was included in the squad but did not start in the lineup. In the 38th minute, an Inter player received a straight red card, further diminishing the chances of the Argentine making an appearance.
Early in the second half, Luis Suarez provided an assist that gave Miami a narrow lead. This goal was the only one of the match, and Inter, despite playing with a man down, managed to hold onto the winning score. Lionel Messi did not appear on the field.
The "Herons" will play their next match in the early hours of Friday, March 14, in the CONCACAF Champions Cup against Cavalry. In the first meeting, Inter won 2-0.
