On the night of Thursday, April 4th, Inter Miami hosted Monterrey at home in the quarterfinals of the CONCACAF Champions Cup.

Once again, Lionel Messi missed another game for David Beckham's team. The Argentine footballer has now missed four consecutive matches without being included in the squad. Inter Miami hasn't won in three out of four matches, with one draw and two losses.

Although the CONCACAF Champions Cup match started with a goal from Tomas Aviles, putting Miami ahead, they couldn't maintain the lead. In the second half, Ruiz received a red card, and Monterrey took advantage. The Mexican team scored two goals, securing a hard-fought victory with a scoreline of 2-1.

Inter Miami suffers another defeat without Lionel Messi. The second leg of the CONCACAF Champions Cup will take place in Mexico in a week, on April 11th.
