Now Messi and De Paul are teammates not only for the national team.

Details: According to The Athletic, American club Inter Miami has decided to buy out the contract of 31-year-old Argentine midfielder Rodrigo De Paul, who is currently playing for the team on loan.

It is reported that De Paul managed to convince the club's management to make the deal permanent, although Leo Messi, who holds significant influence within the squad, also played a key role in persuading the decision-makers.

As a result, Inter will pay Atlético Madrid around $17 million, and this winter De Paul will officially become a Miami player.

De Paul joined Inter Miami this summer on loan. During this period, he featured in 23 matches, scoring 2 goals and providing 7 assists, and was one of the key figures in Inter's MLS triumph.

Reminder: Messi becomes the first player in MLS history to win back-to-back MVP awards
