Inter Lagos Earn Historic Promotion to NPFL After Draw Against Smart City

Inter Lagos have booked their place in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) after sealing promotion from the Nigeria National League (NNL).

The decisive moment came on Monday when they held Smart City to a 1-1 draw, a result that confirmed their elevation to Nigeria’s top division. It marks a major milestone for the club, who will be competing in the NPFL for the first time next season.

Inter Lagos have been one of the standout teams in Conference A, consistently delivering strong performances to sit top of the table with 29 points from 15 matches. Their steady run of form has been key to their success this season.

They now join Doma United as the second team to secure promotion, while the battle for the remaining two NPFL spots continues among other NNL contenders.
