On the final day of the 2024 summer transfer window, Inter decided to bolster their defense. According to Nicolo Schira, the Nerazzurri are set to complete the signing of young Argentine defender Tomás Palacios, who currently plays for Primera División club Independiente Rivadavia.
The transfer of the 21-year-old center-back will cost Inter €6.5 million, with an additional €11 million potentially being paid in bonuses.
Palacios has already arrived in Milan for his medical examination and is expected to sign a five-year contract with the club.
Palacios has made 16 appearances for Independiente Rivadavia, and prior to that, he played for his hometown club, Talleres.
