Inter confirms Barella's injury. How serious is it?

Inter has officially confirmed that their star midfielder Nicolo Barella will be sidelined for a period due to an injury.

Details. The Nerazzurri standout underwent an MRI scan on Thursday morning, which revealed an adductor muscle injury. The Italian midfielder is ruled out of today's Coppa Italia clash against Udinese.

According to Gazzetta, Barella is also unlikely to feature in Inter's upcoming Serie A match against Como on December 23.

Reminder. Barella has contributed three goals and two assists in 17 matches across all competitions for Inter this season. His contract at San Siro runs until June 2029.
