Inter Milan is swiftly moving toward extending the contract of Dutch international defender Denzel Dumfries.

According to insider Gianluca Di Marzio, the Nerazzurri are prepared to sign a new agreement with Dumfries, which should be finalized soon.

The contract extension, which currently expires in 2025, is in its final stages and only requires some technical time to close the deal. The new contract for the Dutchman will include a salary of around 4 million euros per season, matching that of Federico Dimarco.

Previously, it was reported that Newcastle was interested in signing the player. Manchester United showed concrete interest in Dumfries during the winter transfer window, and Aston Villa has also expressed interest in him.
