Instead of Mofokeng: Maccabi Tel Aviv turn their attention to another African forward

Maccabi Tel Aviv had been trying to secure a deal for Relebohile Mofokeng from Orlando Pirates, but negotiations fell through, and the club has now shifted its focus to another target.
Details: According to Africafoot, one of Israel’s football giants is now close to finalizing a deal with left winger Prestige Mbunga. Talks had been ongoing for some time and are now approaching the final stages, with only minor details left to be agreed upon. Unlike Relebohile Mofokeng, Mbunga is reportedly excited to join Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Last season, the 22-year-old impressed at Serbian side FK TSC Bačka Topola, scoring 13 goals and providing five assists.
Reminder: Orlando Pirates have announced the signing of Oswin Appollis. The 23-year-old winger has joined the Naturena-based club from Polokwane City for undisclosed terms.
