Injury no obstacle: Ulberg knocks out Prochazka to become the new champion!
In the early hours of Sunday, April 12, during the UFC 327 event, light heavyweight champion Jiri Prochazka faced off against challenger Carlos Ulberg.
Details: Czech fighter Jiri Prochazka (32-5-1) seized the advantage early: New Zealander Carlos Ulberg (13-1) injured his right leg at the very start of the bout, immediately struggling with his movement.
Nonetheless, the explosive exchanges didn’t favor Prochazka: in the fourth minute of the opening round, Ulberg connected with a right hook that sent Prochazka crashing to the canvas, allowing the challenger to finish the fight and claim the UFC light heavyweight title.
This victory marks Ulberg’s tenth consecutive win in the UFC, while for Prochazka, this defeat is only the third of his career.
