Injury behind him. Clippers star Kawhi Leonard is ready to help his team for the first time this season

Star forward Kawhi Leonard of the Los Angeles Clippers is close to returning to the court. According to The Athletic, the leader of the California team could make his season debut on January 4.

In December, Kawhi returned to training after a right knee injury kept him sidelined for an extended period. Last season, he played 68 games, averaging 23.7 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 3.6 assists. Leonard has yet to take the floor this season.

It's worth noting that the Clippers have performed quite confidently without their star. In 31 games of the regular season, the team has secured 18 wins and is currently in fifth place in the Western Conference standings, narrowly ahead of their neighbors, the Lakers.
