Injured Michail Antonio visits West Ham's training ground to meet Graham Potter
Michail Antonio, currently recovering from a broken leg sustained in a horrific car accident last month, visited West Ham's training ground to meet the club's new manager Graham Potter for the first time, The Sun reports.
Although Antonio is unable to return to the field yet, he remains an integral part of the team and made the trip to the training facility to meet his new coach in person. The two had previously spoken over the phone.
"I was planning to see him today, this afternoon. I spoke to him on the phone, had a really good chat with him. He’s doing well. But it’ll be nice to see him," Potter shared.
To recap, Michail Antonio was involved in a severe car accident on December 7, 2024. After being extracted from his badly wrecked vehicle, he was airlifted to the hospital. The forward suffered a broken leg along with other less serious injuries.
Antonio was discharged from the hospital on New Year’s Eve, but his recovery is expected to take a significant amount of time. Reports suggest he may be sidelined for approximately a year.
