Indiscreet. Premier League middle peasant wants to sign Real Madrid defender
Real Madrid defender Fran Garcia had to make do with only a smattering of playing time from Carlo Ancelotti last season. But despite this, he is valued in England, and it is the local clubs who want him.
According to The Athletic, Bournemouth are interested in the 24-year-old left-back, who lost some of their defensive line in the summer transfer window, and Garcia intends to make up for those problems.
Real Madrid would not say that they are counting on the 24-year-old defender. They already have Ferlan Mendy, and the second candidate for the position of left-back will be someone from outside: Alfonso Davies from Bayern or Miguel Gutierrez from Girona.
It is noteworthy that Bournemouth head coach Andoni Iraola crossed paths with Garcia, as they worked together at Rayo Vallecano.
It is not yet known whether it is a rental deal or whether the Cherries will formalise a full-fledged deal.
