Details: Today it was revealed that 61-year-old player-owner of Romanian club Sănătatea Cluj, Aurelian Ghișa, has become the oldest footballer in Romanian history to take the field in a professional match.

The match itself took place on October 29, when Sănătatea Cluj faced Universitatea Craiova in the first round of the Romanian Cup, and Aurelian Ghișa came on in the 89th minute.
The game ended in a crushing 1-4 defeat for Sănătatea, but Ghișa managed to overshadow the bitterness of the loss with his memorable appearance. This was Aurelian's first time on the pitch; previously, he was included in the squad back in 2019, but spent the entire match on the bench without playing a single minute.
