In the duel between Joshua and Wallin, there exists the prospect of a rematch
Promoter Eddie Hearn conveyed to Secondsout that in the bout featuring his protege Anthony Joshua against Otto Wallin, the possibility of a rematch is on the table.
Hearn confirmed speculations about the rematch and asserted that Joshua is a prominent luminary in the realm of sports.
"This is a one-fight deal, but people continue to debate. Many inquire, 'Why isn't Joshua facing Wilder on December 23rd?' Joshua was offered a bout with Wallin six weeks ago. He accepted," the promoter stated.
Furthermore, we are all aware of their strategy. They all know what they desire, and, of course, that is a clash with Deontay. Both pugilists must secure victories, and then they will quietly work behind the scenes as everyone prepares. Hearn hopes that when Wilder and Joshua triumph on December 23rd, everyone will learn about their plan.
"Yes, there is a clause for a rematch in the Joshua-Wallin bout. Why? Because it's Joshua, the biggest star in the sport. I want AJ not to underestimate Wallin. I want him to be truly prepared to inflict harm. It will be a very, very challenging encounter," Hearn added.
A reminder that the Joshua-Wallin bout is scheduled for December 23rd in Saudi Arabia. On the same evening, in the boxing arena, Deontay Wilder will square off against Joseph Parker.
