Renowned Brazilian businessman Diego Fernandes attended the UEFA Champions League match between Real Madrid and Arsenal, which took place yesterday at the Santiago Bernabéu. According to Tyc Sports, Fernandes is known for his connections with the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF).

Many media outlets perceived the South American businessman's presence at the match as a sign that negotiations to possibly invite Carlo Ancelotti to the position of head coach of the Brazilian national team might resume.

It's worth noting that the current season is not going well for Real Madrid. Despite the signing of Kylian Mbappé last summer, the "Merengues" risk ending the season without a single trophy. Real has already lost the Spanish Super Cup and was knocked out of the UEFA Champions League. In La Liga, they are four points behind Barcelona. Additionally, the Copa del Rey final is approaching, where fans are once again expecting El Clásico, in which Ancelotti has not won for almost a year.

It should be noted that the Italian specialist's contract with Real expires in the summer of 2026. However, after the fiasco against Arsenal (1:5 on aggregate), Sky Sports reported that Ancelotti might leave his position before the end of the season.

Interestingly, the position of head coach of the Brazilian national team is currently vacant. After losing to Argentina in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, the CBF dismissed Dorival Junior.
