"I'm starving for titles!" – Comment from new Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou


In an interview with Orlando Pirates' club television, new head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou outlined his goals for the season.

Details: The Buccaneers' head coach gave a brief comment about what he expects from his time at the club:
What I can tell you is I'm ready; I'm ready for the challenge [at Pirates], I'm ready for the pressure and most importantly, I'm ready to improve my players. I'm ready to go to fight with my players... yeah, I'm starving, I want titles. I want to win. Let's see.
For the record, Ouaddou signed a contract with the club this summer. His previous position was with Marumo Gallants. He took charge in March 2025 and started with a 2-0 victory over Orlando Pirates.
Under Ouaddou's guidance, Marumo Gallants played 12 matches: five wins, four draws, and three defeats. He led the team to the semifinals of the South African Cup, where they narrowly lost to the Pirates — 0-1.
