"I'm ready to return": Maurizio Sarri talks about his biggest regret at Chelsea and future plans

Maurizio Sarri admitted that leaving Chelsea after just one season at Stamford Bridge was one of the biggest mistakes of his career. Sarri departed Chelsea at the end of the 2018-2019 season, returning to Italy to become head coach of Juventus.
Quote. Five years later, Maurizio Sarri considers his decision to leave Chelsea a "mistake."
"I could have stayed at Chelsea. I wanted to return to Italy because the situation at Chelsea was complicated. There was no sporting director, so the situation was unclear. I wanted to go back to Italy, but that was a mistake. It would have been better to stay there. I was a bit worried about the situation at Chelsea, about the internal dynamics of the club. Everything was uncertain.
Of course, from time to time, there were two or three disasters, like in Manchester against City, or in Bournemouth. Now I'm ready to return to the Premier League. I don't know where yet. But my staff and I are ready," said Sarri.
Reminder. After leaving Chelsea, Maurizio Sarri took over at Juventus, where he fulfilled his dream of winning Serie A. He later joined Lazio, where he was dismissed in March 2023.
