Forward of Real Madrid, Vinicius Junior, commented on the decision to sentence three Valencia fans to prison for racist insults directed at him during a La Liga match.

For the first time in Spain, offenders received actual prison sentences for displaying racism. Fans who insulted Vinicius were sentenced to eight months of imprisonment.

"Many urged me to ignore this, while others said that my fight was in vain and that I should just focus on playing football. But as I've always said, I am not a victim of racism. I am the tormentor of racists. I am their executioner.

This is the first criminal conviction in the history of Spain. It is a historic moment for all black people. Let other racists fear, be ashamed, and hide in the shadows. Otherwise, I will be here to reclaim what's mine. Thank you to La Liga and Real Madrid for their assistance in this historic conviction. There's more to come," the footballer wrote on his X page.

It is worth recalling that the Valencia - Real match, which took place in May last year, was remembered for a racist scandal involving "bat" fans and Vinicius.

In the middle of the second half, the game was halted for several minutes due to insults directed at the Brazilian from the stands. And in injury time, the Brazilian winger was sent off the field for hitting an opponent in the face.
