“I’m having a pint in the pub.” Dyche responds with irony to Tottenham job rumours

Former Watford, Nottingham, Burnley, and Everton manager Sean Dyche has addressed rumours linking him with the Tottenham job. British media had reported that the coach was among the potential successors to Igor Tudor, but Dyche dismissed the speculation with a dose of irony.

“I was in the pub today, and a guy said to me: ‘You’re meeting with Tottenham tonight.’ I replied: ‘Well, I’m standing here next to you, having a pint of Guinness, so that seems unlikely,’” Dyche told Sky Sports.

For the record, the 54-year-old coach was only dismissed from his role at Nottingham in February, not even lasting a full season at the helm.
