"I’m going to hurt you!" Tennis star Katie Boulter reveals chilling threats from a stalker
World No. 24 Katie Boulter has opened up about receiving terrifying threats from a stalker ahead of Wimbledon. In an interview with The Guardian, the British tennis star recounted unsettling messages from an unknown man who warned her of harm if she left the Nottingham tennis arena.
"One time in Nottingham, I had someone messaging me on social media saying, ‘I’m outside. I’m going to hurt you if you come outside’. Obviously I alerted the WTA, and they found the guy, who was actually on site," Boulter revealed.
She shared that this wasn’t her first experience with stalking. On another occasion, while out walking with her boyfriend, Australian tennis player Alex de Minaur, a car followed her throughout the outing. The presence of her partner helped her manage the fear that time.
Katie Boulter is currently the top-ranked female player in Britain. She has won three WTA Tour titles and boasts seven victories on the ITF circuit. Off the court, she is a football enthusiast and a devoted fan of her hometown club, Leicester City.
