Whilst speculation in recent days had suggested a possible transfer of the Senegalese international to the Saudi league, his father has broken his silence.

In a video posted on social media, Iliman Ndiaye’s father assured viewers that his son had no intention of joining the Saudi league. He said he had spoken to the player about these rumours.

“He rang me this morning. I even teased him with a few words in Arabic and we had a laugh about it. He let me know that he had no intention of moving to Saudi Arabia.”

The Senegalese player’s father explained that, despite the financial offers he might receive from the Gulf, Iliman Ndiaye is prioritising his development and wishes to continue playing at the highest level.

“He still has plans. He knows he needs to keep working hard. Senegal needs him, just as he needs Senegal. Everything he does today, he does for his country too. He knows he could earn a lot of money over there, but he also thinks his form might dip. He’s not the sort to prioritise money at the expense of his career.”
