After the scare, the Senegalese right-back has given an update.
Ilay Camara sent Senegalese fans into a panic just a few weeks before the kick-off of the 2026 World Cup, co-hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico. The Senegalese international had to come off during a Belgian league match between his club Anderlecht and Sint-Truiden.
But after those moments of concern, the Lion of Teranga has given an update. In a message posted on social media, the Senegalese defender, who has been called up for the World Cup, was keen to reassure everyone. “Everything is fine. Focus on preparations with the national team,” wrote Ilay Camara.
