Iheanacho Returns to Celtic Training Ahead of Feyenoord Clash
Kelechi Iheanacho is back in full training with Celtic as the Scottish champions prepare for their Europa League match against Feyenoord in Rotterdam. The club shared photos of Wednesday’s session on social media, showing the Nigerian forward training with the rest of the squad.
Interim manager Martin O'Neill has not yet confirmed whether Iheanacho will travel for the game. The Super Eagles star has been out since suffering a hamstring injury in the opening minutes of Celtic’s 2-1 win over Sturm Graz on October 23, forcing him to miss six straight matches, including the League Cup semifinal against Rangers.
Before the injury, the former U17 World Cup Golden Ball winner had four goal contributions in eight appearances. He has also not featured for Nigeria since the Unity Cup game against Jamaica, and his hopes of returning for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers were cut short when injury struck.
