Iga Swiatek secures a convincing victory in her first match at Wimbledon

Iga Swiatek, the world's number one, played her first match at Wimbledon 2024 against Sofia Kenin.

Swiatek started the match convincingly, taking an early lead in the first game. As a result, she won the first set 6-3 and took a 2-0 lead in the match. The second set was more challenging for Swiatek. Kenin started stronger, forcing the Polish player to constantly catch up. However, Swiatek managed to do so.

The world number one secured the second set 6-4 and won the match 2-0. Her next opponent will be either Jones or Martic.
