The Senegalese international midfielder is expected to sign for Al-Diriyah.
A free agent since 1 July following the expiry of his contract at Everton, Idrissa Gueye is set to make a fresh start in the Saudi Pro League. The 36-year-old Senegalese has reached an agreement with the Saudi club Al-Diriyah, according to Foot Mercato.
Idrissa Gueye is set to sign a one-season contract with an optional one-year extension. The Senegalese international’s transfer is expected to be finalised shortly.
Should Idrissa Gueye’s signing go ahead, he will arrive in the Saudi league with a wealth of European experience. The 36-year-old midfielder has played for several seasons at Everton, Lille, Paris Saint-Germain and Aston Villa.
