Idrissa Gana Gueye joins Le Mans FC’s investor group

The French club announced on Wednesday 23 September that the Senegalese international had joined its group of shareholders.

In a statement published on social media, Le Mans FC stated that Idrissa Gana Gueye’s arrival would strengthen the club’s presence in West Africa, particularly in Senegal. Idrissa Gana Gueye, who currently plays for Al-Diriyah, is also involved in training young footballers.

He is the founder of ForHope Campus, a training centre based in Senegal. His involvement in the development of football represents a new focus of his commitment to the sporting world.

By investing in Le Mans FC, the 36-year-old Senegalese midfielder joins a group of shareholders comprising several prominent figures from the world of international sport. Among them are former Brazilian international Lucas Leiva, tennis player Novak Djokovic, Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, former Brazilian racing driver Felipe Massa and Danish racing driver Kevin Magnussen.
