He expressed his admiration for the welcome he received from the squad and from Senegalese fans. Ibrahim Mbaye’s decision to represent Senegal on the international stage had surprised those close to him, he explained.
The national team, lads, if only you knew… it’s the best decision I’ve ever made in my life. It’s mad over there; the Senegalese have such huge hearts, it’s incredible. It was a decision made with my heart. In my family, nobody knew I was going to choose Senegal.
