Lakers star LeBron James opened up about his relationship with NBA legend Michael Jordan, who was his childhood idol.

Quote. "It's pure respect, admiration. And, of course, I wear the number 23 because of Michael Jordan. He inspired me when I was a kid in Akron, Ohio, where there weren't many sources of inspiration. He was the main one.

I think our relationship won't change as long as I'm still playing. We all know what Michael is like. Even if you don't know him personally, he's one of the most relentless competitors.
