"I wasn't aware of his poetic talents." Jose Mourinho clashed with Allan Saint-Maximin
The head coach of Turkey's Fenerbahce, Jose Mourinho, has made headlines with another sarcastic exchange. This time, the Portuguese manager had a spat with his player Allan Saint-Maximin, reports the Daily Mail.
Saint-Maximin has missed Fenerbahce's last five matches and was not even included in the squad for the Europa League return match against Rangers. Frustrated with the coach's decisions, the Frenchman decided to express his discontent by posting a message on social media, hinting at Mourinho's actions.
"It will take more than this to defeat me. When a lie takes the elevator, the truth takes the stairs. It takes longer but it always arrives in the end. If God is with us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31," Saint-Maximin wrote.
Mourinho reacted to his player's behavior in his usual sarcastic manner, stating that the reason for the Frenchman's exclusion from the game was his excess weight.
"I didn't know Saint-Maximin was talented in poetry. I'm not bad in that regard either. When a football player works well, works hard, trains every day, he is fit and can climb the stairs. He doesn't need an elevator," commented Jose.
