"I was honest": Flick gives Fati the freedom to decide his future at Barcelona

Since arriving at Barcelona, Hansi Flick has not made any big sales, instead opting to analyze the squad first. One of those who stayed was the troubled winger Ansu Fati. Although the German initially trusted him, that trust is not infinite.

Details: Flick admitted that he recently had a conversation with Fati about his future and gave him the freedom to make that decision himself. If Fati chooses to stay at Barcelona, Flick will help him regain his confidence.

Quote: "It’s very important to be honest with the players. I was honest with Ansu. We discussed different options, and now it’s his decision. If he wants to stay, that’s great; he’s a La Masia player. This is professional football, and performances matter. My job is to help him improve, and that’s what we want to do with all the players. Ansu is very professional and always focused. I want to help him," Flick said.

Reminder: Barcelona has played their last three matches without Fati, as he has not even been included in the squad.
