"I think she was unhappy": Petr Cech talks about conversation with wife after horrific injury

October 14, 2006, marked a turning point in the life of Czech goalkeeper Petr Cech, as on that day, during a match between Chelsea and Reading, he suffered an injury that could have been fatal. Naturally, continuing his career after such an ordeal provoked mixed reactions from his family.
Details: Cech discussed the conversation with his wife when it was time to return to Chelsea's goal. The goalkeeper himself believes she was not thrilled about it.
Quote: "When we got to the point about the head injury, he [Mourinho] asked: 'Do you want to play?' And I replied: 'Well, I've had one training session, but now I feel ready.' I think my wife was unhappy when I said I was going to Liverpool. She said: 'I've heard that before.'
She says: 'You're not playing?' I replied: 'No, no, don't worry, I just want to be with the team.' We lost 2-0, and it was fine. I made a couple of saves and felt quite normal. But with the goals, I couldn't do anything," Cech said on Fraser Foster's podcast Fozcast.
