Mamadou Sarr didn’t hide his joy after joining the Lions of Teranga. The Senegalese international has been called up to the Senegalese national A team for the first time.
The RC Strasbourg defender, who has had an excellent start to the Ligue 1 season, is among the new faces called up by Pape Thiaw for the friendly matches against Brazil and Kenya, in preparation for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
“I’m very happy, very honored, very proud to join my teammates and represent this country. Today, I was able to train with the group, it’s something wonderful. Honestly, I’m thrilled,” the young defender declared after his first session with the Lions.
At just 20 years old, the Racing Club de Strasbourg defender has his sights set on the future. He wants to gain experience and win the AFCON.
