"I laced up the gloves." Oscar De La Hoya names his main advantage over other promoters

Renowed promoter and former boxer Oscar De La Hoya recently shared what sets him apart from other heads of promotional organizations.
"There’s Bob Arum, Eddie Hearn, PBC. There are four of us. My difference from all of them, which no one else can claim, is that I was a fighter. I laced up the gloves. I know what it’s like to take a punch, to sell a fight, to be used because I was a fighter.
My huge advantage is also that I am the only Spanish-speaking fighter who has founded a national boxing promotion. If you look at all the Spanish-speaking fighters, they identify with you, and they look up to you. So it’s easier for me to sign them and guide them," the promoter was quoted by Everything Boxing.
Previously, De La Hoya mentioned that he’s ready to organize a fight between WBC lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson and Mexican boxer William Zepeda.
Additionally, Oscar commented on Ryan Garcia’s suspension and had strong words for Devin Haney.
